Gerald Charles Masterlink Perpetual Calendar

Few debuts at Watches and Wonders 2026 carried the gravitas of Gerald Charles’s most ambitious creation to date, the Masterlink Perpetual Calendar. Conceived entirely in-house, this extraordinary timepiece represents the maison’s most complex creation since its re-establishment. The asymmetrical perpetual calendar calibre GCA11000, driven by a golden micro-rotor, powers a refined three-counter display indicating day, date, month, moon phase, and leap year. 

At Watches and Wonders 2026, Gerald Charles unveiled its most ambitious creation to date: the Masterlink Perpetual Calendar. Conceived entirely in-house, it stands as the maison’s most complex timepiece since its re-establishment.

This striking timepiece is a composition of 505 components spanning case, dial, bracelet, and movement, housed within a 40mm Grade 5 titanium case weighing just 97 grammes. At 10mm in thickness and water-resistant to 100m, it achieves remarkable technical harmony.  The moon phase alone deserves an honourable mention with its 135-tooth wheel, creating a near-continuous lunar motion that borders on poetic. Two variations were introduced, comprising a smoked ruthenium fumé dial and a captivating open-worked interpretation that reveals the watch’s underlying architecture.

Bremont Supernova Chronograph

Perhaps the most significant narrative of the 2026 Watches and Wonders belongs to Bremont. This summer, a Bremont Supernova Chronograph will be placed on the surface of the Moon, and it will not return. Integrated into the chassis of Astrolab’s FLIP rover, the watch is scheduled to land near the lunar south pole, following the successful completion of its spacecraft protoflight qualification.

One of the defining narratives of Watches and Wonders 2026 belongs to Bremont. This summer, a Supernova Chronograph will be placed on the lunar surface as a permanent installation, marking a defining moment for the brand.

The creation itself is a 41mm integrated bracelet sports chronograph in stainless steel, powered by the chronometer-rated BC77 movement with a 62-hour power reserve. Its multi-faceted decahedral black ceramic bezel and perforated galvanic dial draw inspiration from spacecraft design. The Super-LumiNova layer beneath ensures exceptional legibility even in the permanent shadow of the lunar south pole.

Oris Artelier Complication

Oris has long excelled in accessible mechanical watchmaking with genuine character, and the new Artelier Complication serves as a compelling reminder. Designed by 24-year-old Product Design Engineer Lena Huwiler, this refined creation introduces their new in-house movement calibre 782. The 39.50mm dress watch retains just two sub-counters: a moon phase at 12 o’clock and a second time zone at 6 o’clock, creating in a dial that feels open, composed, and legible. 

Oris continues its legacy of accessible mechanical watchmaking with the new Artelier Complication. Designed by 24-year-old Product Design Engineer Lena Huwiler, it introduces their in-house calibre 782.

Offered in ivory, midnight blue, and chestnut tones, the model demonstrates a rare sensitivity in design. The moon phase display, elegantly integrated into a starry circular aperture rather than bolted awkwardly onto the surface, shows a thoughtfulness rarely seen at this price point. 

Eberhard & Co. Scafograf 200 MCMLIX

In a year defined by bold technical statements, Eberhard & Co. offers a masterclass in restraint. The Scafograf 200 MCMLIX takes direct inspiration from the brand\'s original 1959 diver.

The Scafograf 200 MCMLIX takes direct inspiration from the brand’s original 1959 diver, retaining its triangular indices, pointed hour hand, and professional helium escape valve within a contemporary 39mm case.  Available in four dial executions, black and blue, in both dégradé and monochromatic finishes, it is paired with a new polished steel Milanese mesh bracelet that channels the elegance of mid-century sportswear. It is a watch that honours its lineage without retreating into nostalgia.

Bianchet × Maserati UltraFino

The collaboration between Bianchet and Maserati yields one of the most visually arresting creations of the year. The UltraFino Maserati is a flying tourbillon rendered in high-density carbon fibre and Grade 5 titanium. Its open-worked dial draws directly from the birdcage wheel architecture of the Maserati MCPURA supercar.

The Bianchet UT01 calibre, just 3.85mm thick, with 225 components os finished entirely by hand, and delivers 60 hours of power reserve. Limited to 100 individually numbered pieces, the AI Aqua Rainbow finish across the dial and rubber case seam introduces a striking visual dynamism that defies conventional representation.

Christiaan van der Klaauw: Venus Zodiac And Venus Annual Calendar

The Dutch astronomical watchmaker arrives at W&W 2026 with two pieces that remind the room what genuine complication looks like when separated from excess. Both the Venus Zodiac and the Venus Annual Calendar carry a four-disc dial displaying the real-time orbital positions of Venus, Earth, and the Moon,  mimicking a fragment of the solar system. The Venus Zodiac presents this on an aventurine dial that evokes the night sky with quiet beauty, adding zodiac indications that shift around the 21st of each month. 

Both the Venus Zodiac and the Venus Annual Calendar feature a four-disc dial that displays the real-time orbital positions of Venus, Earth, and the Moon, recreating a fragment of the solar system on the wrist.

Meanwhile, the Venus Annual Calendar adopts a more technical expression with an outer ring tracking the days of each month and requiring only one manual correction every four years.  Both timepieces are housed in a 38mm case with star-shaped, hand-finished bridges visible through the sapphire case back, quietly extraordinary.

Laurent Ferrier Sport Traveller

Laurent Ferrier approaches the modern travel watch with characteristic restraint, refining rather than reimagining the category. The new Sport Traveller in Slate Grey distils complexity into clarity, offering a dual-time complication that privileges ease of use without compromising mechanical integrity. Encased in 42mm of Grade 5 titanium, the watch introduces the in-house LF275.01 calibre with a 72-hour power reserve. Local time can be adjusted forwards or backwards via a single pusher, without interrupting the movement.

Laurent Ferrier refines the modern travel watch with characteristic restraint in the Sport Traveller Slate Grey, offering a dual-time complication focused on ease of use without compromising mechanical integrity.

The dial is anthracite opaline with powder grey transfers, accented by white gold Assegai hands and teardrop indices with green Super-LumiNova ensuring legibility. The timepiece is brought into balance by its integrated three-link titanium bracelet.
